3ds MAX ACTIVE SHADE MODE
In this New Feature Video, Edwin Braun starts with GI model scene in the 3dsMax ActiveShade mode. The daylight system is the source of light that entails much bouncing rays and hence, we expect a lot of noise in the image. The scene is set at a low pass iteration of '32'. To deal with the noise, all users have to do is On / Off the Denoiser button at fR Render Setup window. Cebas one button rule is designed to save time (and therefore costs) and offers flexibility of achieving optimal rendering whether you are on a GPU / CPU or hybrid applications. Play with it and see the change in noise pixels. ...
Edwin then does the post-filter denoising (see under the FrameBuffer menu) in Production Render mode: you can review the effects of the Post-Filter AI Denoiser effect in comparison with the original rendered (denoised) from Active Shade that was done earlier (see below of the FrameBuffer menu...(full video description: https://vimeo.com/262110398 )
